Megan Mullally gives perhaps the greatest guest starring appearance ever put to film: S5, E5 of Murder, She Wrote. Titled Coal Miner”s Slaughter (what a title).
MM plays Molly Connors, a recent law school graduate just returning to her WV hometown to take on the mine operator (the Rifleman) that ran the mine where her daddy died. With the help of Jessica and her grandpappy (Uncle Jessie), this little spitfire dodges multiple arrests (including one for murdering the mine operator) and brings her daddy’s killer to justice. It’s an incredible performance. Her introductory scene is a tour de force. Highly, highly recommend to all.
Several other good performances including the best friend from Big. Angela is a treasure as always.
