Wife grew up in the Big O, some good people from Opelousas as several prominent families control the wealth with old money. The inner city is out of control but that's a whole different story.

Lafayette is 30 minutes from Opelousas. My wife is from Arnaudville, which is a small town just southeast of there. I know a few folks from there. The town has deteriorated in the last 2 decades, unfortunately.

Same here - always enjoyed visiting her family there and in Leonville just east of the city.

It's an Epiphone Masterbilt AJ 500 cutaway with solid rosewood back and sides. Really good guitar.
I'm just going to order one of The Slash J45s.

You need to open a subsidiary in Louisiana

That's the 3rd one I've sold to Louisiana folks.

I was born there and lived there until 98 when I turned 10. Still go there a decent bit as my wife’s mother still lives there.
It was once your classic All-American town in the 50’s and 60’s that was a great place to grow up and live until it started going downhill, probably in the late 70’s/early 80’s. This has happened to a lot of small towns as I’m sure most of you know, but definitely not just a Southern thing. I’ve been to a town just like Opelousas in a lot of ways, up in Pennsylvania, called Nanticoke. The demographics are markedly different, but the vibe of a shell of a town missing its former glory was evident.
