Notre Dame fans are extremely insecure about Brian Kelly leaving them for LSU. Kelly made some remarks about LSU having better facilities, an easier recruiting path, and more of a general commitment to winning than Notre Dame. Interestingly enough, all of his comments are true, and the results speak for themselves. In recent years, despite playing in the most challenging conference in all football, LSU has won 3 NCs (played in 4) and has 2 Heisman winners to its name. Notre Dame has won...well, nothing, and they can't stand it.
It's confusing because they claim to hate Kelly and insist he was a poor coach and recruiter, despite being their all-time winningest coach who took them to 1 NC game and 2 CFB Playoff appearances. In his last 5 seasons at Notre Dame, he lost a total of 9 games. Their current coach already has lost 8 games (including Marshall and Stanford) in 2 seasons.
They also claim Brian Kelly could never win the "big game." Wake me up when Freeman wins one. In fact, Notre Dame poaching Denbrock is their biggest win in some time. Let that marinate for a moment...taking a coordinator (and not a head coach) is that program's biggest achievement in decades. Denbrock does not equal Saban.

ND fans need to get used to being one and done in the playoffs. Will be a teams punching bag every year.

Kelly was 16- 10 in his first 2 seasons in South Bend. Freeman is 18-8. Also our Lord and Savior BK beat two top 10 teams in 12 years in South Bend. Freeman beat 2 (including the #1 ranked team) in his first two years. I think we are getting a little too cocky. BK got drilled in every big playoff game and Natty he was in...kinda like the SECCG against UGA...i know even though it was classic BK, lets just say we didnt belong there. But I'm still hopeful, even though he's gonna be gone soon.

Screen shot my comment. If BK has a winning record against Bama/Ole Miss or UGA (when we play them) after 5 years (if he makesit that long). I'll streak Bourbon St with I love BK painted on my back.

Freeman lost to Marshall and Stanford.
Freeman lost a game due to not putting 11 men on the field.
Freeman’s biggest accomplishment so far is beating a 7-5 USC team.
But hey, it’s better than those other 3-4 retards you had before BK.

As ND fan who joined your board two years ago to discuss BK (seriously, not to troll), I can say you're right about one thing regarding ND football: it's been mediocre since Lou Holtz left. The main ND site is called ND Nation and they hated BK with a passion for years. I always thought BK was a good but not great coach, and maybe at LSU he'll become great. But I'll say about Marcus Freeman is he is in the process of upgrading our talent in a serious way, including deft use of the portal. Some of y'all think ND will never be relevant again in terms of winning a NC. Maybe you'll turn out to be right. But to say
that's a definite at this time is way too premature. And one thing we should be able to agree on is if you had our defense or we had your offense, that would have been one heck of a team.
