Funny as he already has more wins in games against Top 10 teams at LSU than he did at Notre Dame

What narrative? It's literal fact. On3 has LSU at #5 for both of the last two years.
On3 has LSU at 10, 1 spot behind ND.

5 is only on3’s ranking. 10 is all recruiting sites together. People like to go with the higher number and not reality

Your comment is overrated, lol. BK was successful everywhere he coached long before he got here, especially the past two years here where he has to assemble the team from scrubs.

Denbrock sees the writing on the wall and is leaving this offense.

If Denbrock just wanted an out, he would have taken the A&M job that would have made him the highest paid coordinator in college football. He didn't. I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand that these decisions are not just 100% about money or football. It happens every year when we're talking about coaching change. Quality of life matters. These are human beings with families. Their sole function in life is not as a football coach.

Mike Denbrock was born in Homer, Michigan, apparently just a couple of hours from South Bend. He went to college at Grand Valley State in Michigan. Here is his coaching history:

1986–1987 Grand Valley State (GA)
1988–1989 Michigan State (GA)
1990–1991 Illinois State (OT/TE)
1992–1995 Grand Valley State (OC/QB/WR)
1996–1998 Grand Valley State (DC/LB)
1999–2000 Buffalo Destroyers (AHC/DC/OL/DL)
2001 Stanford (OT/TE)
2002–2004 Notre Dame (OT/TE)
2005–2008 Washington (OL)
2009 Indiana State (AHC/ST/LB)
2010–2011 Notre Dame (TE)
2012–2013 Notre Dame (WR)
2014 Notre Dame (OC/WR)
2015–2016 Notre Dame (AHC/WR)
2017 Cincinnati (OC/QB)
2018–2021 Cincinnati (OC/TE)
2022–2023 LSU (OC/TE)

That's a lot of years in the midwest. Only 2 in the South. A lot of years at Notre Dame. Maybe he has an affinity for the university. He's got 1 son, maybe the boy thinks a warm and muggy Christmas sucks compared to the cold, white ones he's used to. Maybe since Freeman--who he knows and coached with at Cincinnati--is a young and defensive HC, he's gonna give Denbrock more autonomy over the offense than Kelly did.

Maybe it's a more laid back work environment. Maybe the house his son was born in is back on the market, and that's the house he and his wife want to retire and live the rest of their life in. Maybe he misses his friends in South Bend. His church. Whatever. There are a million things that could make this a good move for Denbrock and his family quality of life wise that has nothing to do with Brian Kelly or LSU at all. We don't know what's most important to him. Quit being so fricking insecure. You are being EXACTLY like the Notre Dame fans you've been making fun of who can't let it go that we poached Kelly. By the way, HC > OC.

You ought to stop posting, the more you express yourself the more ignorance you become. He made the playoff at Notre Dame, he will do the same here, especially the playoff system has expanded to 12 teams.

So since the playoff expanded it’s okay to lose two to three games a year?

I don't know what exactly you mean by "okay." But in the 23-year run we've been on that is the best in LSU football history, we have lost less than 2 games all of 3 times.

The only one overrated in this post is YOU. I would say you know nothing about football but you know less than nothing about football. As a know nothing you have galactic potential. If fact you not only know less than nothing about football you probably know less than nothing about everything.

I think this sums it up.

On3 is the premier recruiting site in the nation. It's the third generation with 247Sports being second and Rivals being smallest. Rivals and ESPN don't have the manpower to do a competent job of evaluating HS talent.

On3 ranks LSU's recruiting class as #5 in the nation.

Buddy, where were you when we missed a bowl game and got tee’d off on by KSU? “Kept” us relevant? We were behind Arkansas and Miss State in ‘20. That’s when we were “fresh” off of a title. If you don’t think he’s done a good job, you’re just being a contrarian for the sake of it.

Kelly doesn’t write the contracts as far as I know. The signing period is still active, so we have no idea what’s going to happen with House. Our recruiting isn’t bad, that’s silly as shite. Disingenuous post.

He is what everyone should realize. Notre Dame was a reputed Power when he took the HC. He kept them relevant.

He had the best tenure of any coach since Lou Holtz. It’s like saying Harbaugh took over a reputed power at Michigan.

2 years of losing football removed from a NC and hemorrhaging players.

We weren’t fresh off a NC.

3rd year is his test for me.
First year we lost a few games we shouldn't have but got lucky and eeked out a West Title. Year two we have a Heisman QB.

Right now I'm not really thrilled about recruiting. Hope I'm wrong.
