Yes it does. The wrong call run correctly is almost always better than the right call run poorly.

The call is less important than execution.

People that think LSU defense had some magic call they could have run are delusional. Same for offense. Coaches coaching during the week means much more than the calls on gameday.

I don't agree with your premise. But even if I did, the coaches teach the execution.

Aranda’s half time adjustments seemed to make a difference.

I assume this is the old jimmies and joes vs X’s and O’s argument. The problem I have with that take is good coaches seem to be consistently good regardless of players and regardless of school. But if it’s really just the players to blame then it’s recruiting (also a coach’s responsibility) and we don’t seem to be doing great there either.
