If you're going to play someone outside in Tiger Stadium, please not Southern.
What's the point of beating Southern 120-19 with
102,000 in the stands.
There has to be a team, somewhere between Southern good...and UCONN good...let's pick something in the middle

LA Tech and Tulane are the only decent successful WBB in-state schools I can think of. All the rest are ho-hum in WBB. Wish we had good in-state rivalry like TX/A&M, Bama/Auburn.

Who really thinks there'll be 102,000 in the stands to see Southern play?

They can't get 102,000 butts in the seats for a prime-time football game.

It said it in the OP; to help Southern establish NIL for their program. In other words it’s an unselfish thing to do. “What’s in it for me” isn’t the right response.
