That Ruston defense was NASTY and he was a huge piece there

Based only on the state championship game, I would say he is criminally underrated. The guy was a beast in that game.

DE or DT?

Probably inside. Only 6’2 260 now. Need to bulk him up. But he’s going to wreck shite when his day comes. I’m telling you.

He was the centerpiece of the Ruston defense. They did a great job of moving him both inside and on the edge. He does an excellent job of playing with his hands. He will bulk up and likely play DT in a four man front or a SDE in a 3 man front at LSU. I’ve watched him play every game for the last three years. He has yet to be dominated on the line of scrimmage. He plays under control. He’s not the guy that flys up the field every play trying to get a sack. The Ruston defense was great against the run and he’s a big reason why. He does have pass rush ability when down and distance comes into play.

And yes, was outstanding in the championship games. They had another DE, Geordan Guidry, that signed with Tulane today. He will be a steal for them as well. And the biggest steal of all is Louisiana Tech signing the three time 1st All State LB Jadon Mayfield. He was the 5A Defensive MVP this year. He wanted to stay close to home. Tech is getting a great LB who has a chance to start next year.

Jadon Mayfield Is potentially the best defensive player in the state. Tech is getting a kid that can flat out play.
