Agreed. It's kind of the worst of both worlds. You're out in BFE but in the middle of a subdivision.

Ehh yea it’s a subdivision but not like your typical one where all the houses are super close together and all built by the same builder in the same exact style with each parcel allotted 2 saplings in the front and 1 in the back.

Most lots are big and you can go full custom build. Gigantic mature trees everywhere.

To me it’s the best of both worlds (if you’re a retiree or someone who doesn’t HAVE to commute often). You still have a fair amount of space for a nice sized house and plenty of yard but you can still have a crew of friends that all live within 5 mins of each other. Only issue as mentioned above is lack of amenities/restaurants/shopping within a 10 minute drive.

This has always been my stance on leaving the southshore. If I ever leave Metairie it’s for the true sticks.

Not for a subdivision that only accomplishes my goal of driving a lot anytime I want to go somewhere. I like money hill, but not sure I see the market for this at current interest rates.
