And yes, football is well coached and they work with current students unlike basketball who pushed their current students to the side for Randy’s recruits. But they have plenty of “outliers” like AJ. Or even kids like Kai Donaldson who were recruited by Randy but still played football. Bottom line, recruiting is recruiting, illegal players are illegal players. Defending football by saying they only have a few illegal players is what’s wrong with the system.

I’m not defending them, i think it’s laughable how much the school sold their soul to sponsor a corrupt AAU team. But the football team isn’t close to comparable to the basketball racket. But while we’re on football, the AJ Johnson thing was a bad look and backfired spectacularly.
