Question--why are Christians clutching pearls and ready to jump ship to a foreign country.

You are referring to government schools obviously. Religion is a keystone of my kids’ school and surprise, surprise, they outperform their government ran schools in every way.
Having the government “educate” your kids is insanity to me , even if you aren’t religious.
