I currently run a type 1 rmr no issues on my glock 45 and its carried daily for work. I love that the trijicon is made in America but I hate that to change the battery you have to take the sight completely off. We change batteries once a year on all of our red dots just a precaution, While not a huge deal it is aggrevating.

The holosun obviously is a side load for battery which is great, multiple reticles (but im sure ill just run the dot) and the housing is titanium which is great compared to the aluminum trijicon. It also apparently has a wider field of view which is big in some cases but as much as we shoot it probably not as much of an issue compared to some.

Right now trijicon is running a 100 buck rebate on the rmr which puts it about 60 bucks more than the holosun after the rebate so im looking for some advice, Thanks!

I run the holosun 407k x2 in green on my hellcat and can not speak highly enough on it. Battery lasted a week short of a year on constant on, I also have it set on the dot and reticle. Father in law is the range officer for one of the local sheriffs offices and has tested every brand dot you can think of on the Glock platform and still decided to use the holosun 407k x2.

I run the rmr type 2 on the glock as both are near indestructible. At the $60 difference I'd probably just go with the known. Sure the whole sight has to come off but that isn't a big deal and is not far off zero when you reinstall.

That said, I've heard great things about the holosuns. People love them for a reason, I just don't have much experience.

ight. I have had the trijicon on my duty weapon for 2 years and zero issues. That's through rain cold Alabama summer heat and holster use it daily. On my off duty weapon, I run a holosun 507k but it also has had no issues and it's carried everyday I'm not at work. While I don't know if it has the same reliability as trijicon personally, I don't have anything to say that it isn't either

If you're looking into a Holosun - I can't recommend checking out the 507 comp enough.

The Trijicon SRO feels like it's been the gold standard for a lot of people for some time now. The 507 Comp is relatively* new & getting a lot of praise with people saying that it goes toe to toe with the SRO in terms of build quality and that big field of view that made the SRO so well thought of. The SRO of course has that large circular lens and is a little bit taller where as the 507 comp has a large square lens and is a little bit wider. The big difference is the price. The 507 comp is priced at $369 on Primary arms right now where as the 2 MOA SRO is $595.

This is one of the first red dots I've seen people outright say they would choose over the SRO or at least put it right up there with the SRO in terms of quality & performance. There's a ton of video reviews on YouTube comparing the two and even more threads on Reddit where people discuss them both with high regard. To even be considered on a level playing field with the SRO for $200~ less says a lot.

I've also got a Glock 45 with a 507c x2 on it right now that will be getting replaced with the 507 comp soon. It's worth checking out. I hope this helps

I run a Holosun 508T on my VP9 and could'nt be happier. It's my daily carry. I've probably put 5-600 rounds through it and it still hold zero.

I have a 507 on my Glock 43x and it’s been trouble free for over a year and a half now. It’s a daily carry shake to wake and still same battery. I like being able to use the dot inside a circle because it just makes you square up the target instead of trying to fight shakes

I have both Holosuns and Trijicon RMR's. THe Holosuns are nice and capable. The RMR is just unbeatable. I have had a Type 2 on my G19 for 2 years now and battery is still going strong. Its the non adjustable which I actually prefer.

Sportsman's guide has a great deal at the moment on a 3.25 MOA RMR. 15% off with coupon code SG4640 plus a $100 MIR gets it down to $332.99.
