At that point, football and men’s basketball just need to be minor leagues completely separate from university affiliation.

You have no desire to be a real student athlete for a university? Great. Head straight to the draft or minor leagues instead. No academic scholarships. No ACT “testing sites” to help you score what you need to be eligible and enrolled at a school.

I hope athletic scholarships disappear all together at some point. Little Timmy needs to focus on math and science more then travel ball anyway

The moment you do that is the moment that you lose all of the revenue that makes this "business" work.
