To reign it in the NCAA will have to move towards some semblance of a pro model where the athletes are able to collectively bargain with the NCAA. It's the only way at this point.

We’ll always have 2019 LSU before college athletics became unrecognizable.

At that point, football and men’s basketball just need to be minor leagues completely separate from university affiliation.

You have no desire to be a real student athlete for a university? Great. Head straight to the draft or minor leagues instead. No academic scholarships. No ACT “testing sites” to help you score what you need to be eligible and enrolled at a school.
