brand new vehicle off road.
It never even crosses my mind. I want out of a new vehicle is something that will haul my people and stuff and be as low of maintenance as possible. 4wheelers and sub-20k trucks are for going off road. But every manufacturer runs a commercial showing their stock rig climbing up the side of Everest.
The things that make trucks good for off-road makes them bad for highway driving and vise versa.

Can’t wait for mine. Hoping to get it early spring.
What trim did you get?

Off the lot it’s not ready.
Have to lift it, change the tires, and other modifications on the front to walk away without damage.

It’s not like they are crossing Africa. It looks like a pasture with a small drainage swale. A unmodified Subaru Outback can do that.

It’s an allocation, basically waiting to see the two interiors for the Overtrail+ before we choose. We’re #2 for that model at our dealer, so expect to get it early in the cycle.
You are wanting to see them in person? because the options are out now. I want black Overtrail+ with olive interior. My LX is still going strong but it's time to move on.

My only beef with the GX is that you can’t get the locking diff without the over trail package. I hear that the new Land Crusier will have all that standard.
Otherwise I think it’s the most appealing Lexus that they’ve made in a decade.

But the LC has the damn hybrid engine. nobody got time for that

It "broke" because there is about 3.5" of ground clearance

I'm sure it will be ok...but I'm sick and tired of Toyota selling a freaking 70 Series everywhere in the world but North America.

I think the GX has one too, right?

Blame your government.
The 70 series could not pass safety standards or emissions compliance.

2013 Tundy with V8 Over 250k miles. Love it.
Nice! Eventually you should trade it for whatever the last year they made the V8. The new ones are lame.

Apparently the Toyota TRD Pro model is for posers.
did you watch the whole video? he had approach angle problems on the first obstacle, which is a legit criticism, but the vehicle performed pretty well the rest of the course

no--twin turbo V6 (at least on the model I want)

The new GX looks to be the real deal all round though.
Really?? Serious question because they try selling us the new one every time my wife brings hers in for oil change, etc.
She has a 2021 GX which is the last or second to last year with the V8 and should last over a decade easily. The new V6 is nice to drive (I test drove it twice so not a lot) and I don’t care what they say it doesn’t have the power of the V8. They’re going to frick around and ruin one of the most reliable vehicles ever made and alienate loyal customers like myself.
FIL was going to get a new tundra and after test driving he said he’d just keep his 2012.
Another note on the new GX460’s. My wife had one twice for a loaner and had it for around a week both times. Both of them had electronics issues. It’s probably going to take them a while to catch up with the other automakers on the bells and whistles quality

Content maker gets clicks and cash.
OP gets OT snarky cred.
Truth dies a little more.
And on we go.

You got to drive a 2024? The 2024 GX is totally redesigned and not the 2023 you are thinking of.
