Samsung quality control really does seem to have gone down in recent years. I know this is just anecdotal, and all brands, big or small, have issues with electronics, but I know quite a few people that have had issues with Samsungs bought in the last few years. However, I have a 1080 dumb tv bought back in 2010 that’s still going strong.

I've used Sherwood Television and Appliance in the past. Repaired 55" Samsung for $150 that wouldn't power on.

I’d never buy a Samsung anything ever again.
