Cost to paint the inside of a house

I see online it's usually about 3.50$ per square foot. I'm having the inside of my house painted. Two coats, walls, ceiling, trim, and doors. My house is almost 3,000 sq ft. I'm expecting the labor (not including cost of paint) to run about 6000$. At first it felt like a lot but I guess it's not. Just looking for confirmation or advice if I need to get another quote-Thanks H&G

Depends on the brand/quality of paint.....and paint is stupidly expensive right now.
I recommend going with a "top of the line" paint whichever brand you choose.
$3.50 seems high to me. I live east of Tampa and we had most of our inside (except doors, door frames and closets) painted AND the exterior for $7,500.00 (our house is a little over 2,700 SF) about a year ago. We used top of the line Sherwin Williams: Duration for the interior, Emerald for the exterior and Pro Classic for the doors/frames. I did the doors, door frames and closets.

Just got a quote for one bedroom thats 14'x 16' with 12' ceilings. Two different colors and I have all the paint, brushes and rollers.....$1,100.
Pfffft, gonna do it myself and I HATE painting.

I paid $5k to have a 1700sqft townhouse painted in BR earlier this year. Seems like I got screwed.

Three years ago I paid around 14k for a 3000sqft house turnkey. This was walls, ceilings, doors and door trim, crown and shoe molding. They provided all material and paint. They did some minor sheetrock repair as well. It was the cheapest quote out of three. The original paint was all dark colors (brown, orange, and dark purple) so they used way more paint than expected.

I paid roughly $14K to paint the inside of my house. This included every room (closets too) --- and the ceiling, baseboard, trim, doors, etc. I also had cabinets painted (from stain), and cabinets revarnished. My house is just under, 2400 sq. ft. living area. Two coats were applied.
Paint was from Ferrell Calhoun, mid-grade.
I am pleased with the work, plus their work comes with a 1-year warranty, and I can call them anytime during this 1-year to come back out and touch up anything, even if it is my fault.
It was a mess living inside this, and took about 2 weeks to complete. This is no fault of the painting contractor. I didn't have anywhere else to go, plus I have dogs.

Painting isn’t usually quotes by floor sq ft, it’s usually by what’s actually being painted. 8 ft v 12 ft ceilings is a major difference. As well as trim size and shape, quality, etc.

That doesn't sound out of the ballpark imo
