I know lots of folks on here have faith in Nuss. And he seems like a nice young man. But he’s not done anything to give anyone confidence he can handle the job. We’re done talking about potential, and rep numbers and all the other excuses offered in the past. He’s not done anything on the field to seize the job or justify conceding him the starting role. So, I think CBK is looking for a starter not a backup. Now I hope Nuss wins out but it’s naive to think we’re looking around for a second string QB.

Just took a look at this kid's offer list out of high school. Very impressive to include Alabama, Florida, Florida St. Auburn, Georgia and, yes, LSU.
We don't need another backup. We've got a couple of those and more on the way. Just sayin'

And double down on this with the fact that a lot of good veteran staters should be looking at LSU like: “Hey, I can go to LSU and win a Heisman.”
