Which is kind of the point of the whole complaint.
That area is out in the middle of goddamn nowhere. Does not bring in tax dollars to Zachary. Does not have services from anywhere. Yet it is being dropped out there solely to flood the school district with 1000+ new homes.
That is the kind of shite that people bitch about whenever a Walmart is built yet it is OK because “her people” benefit.

Isn't fire and police coming from Baker?
Honestly that piece of land makes a lot more sense to me as an Industrialplex type of development with distribution centers and light manufacturing. There is a real shortage of flex/distribution space in the Baton Rouge metro area. That development they started off Industrial Drive in Geismar has filed up extremely quickly. There is a lot of demand for that in the Baton Rouge area.
