What if Stoops gets beat down again?

Now i agree they have a great team this year, but if they get beat pretty bad again, shouldnt he start getting treated the way the ohio state has the last couple years?

If OU gets pounded that doesn't mean Texas would, UT's DC showed he could stop the UF last year.

OU has a great team every year they played in a BCS Bowl and they lost.
OU best football team of all time going into the Big 12 champioship game and then they lose to LSU in 2003.
OU undefeated, blown out by USC 2004.
OU solid team and then embarassed by Boise State.
Last year, talks of a split national championship but then OU is destroyed by West Virginia.

I was responding to SFP who said he would proclaim the Big 12, not just OU was over rated.
To your question, if OU loses, yes they will be question, like tOSU is until they win one again. It won't keep either one them out necessarily.

Yep. It's funny that OU has been worse in bowls than we have, and we're ripped by the media much worse, IMO, of course.

Whoa fella............
Texas has won 4 straight bowl games
Texas Tech has won 3 of 4.
Missou has won 2 of 3
Oklahoma State has won it's last 2.
Kansas even beat Virginia Tech in a BCS game last year.
Don't lump the entire conference in, because one team doesn't know how to close. If Texas goes in a stomps whoever they play, and OU loses again all it will mean is that OU lost again. In the end they didn't even beat Texas.

It is the best conference this year, there is always media hyperbole that blows thing s out of proportion.

it's absolute bs that bs is playing for the mnc. bcs needs a new rule: if two or more teams are involved in a controversy and one of those teams is ou, then ou is automatically eliminated from consideration.

big12 and big10 suffer from very similar problems...but they just have more talent b/c texas is so deep
