I’m not placing much weight on what he did at Army at all. It’s so drastically different to what he will be working with and who he will be facing in the SEC. Maybe that’s ignorant of me but the UNC experience is much applicable. Klein’s offense should be much easier on a defense from a ball control standpoint than what Longo runs but I remember those UNC defenses giving up chunk play after chunk play

Yeah this is how I feel as well.

I have no recollection of his UNC defenses, I'm looking strictly at the numbers. It could work out but it just didn't seem inspiring as I've explained in my posts above.

Elko clearly values the familiarity with being on staff together previously at Richmond. Plus being a good recruiter helps.

Sounds like Elko is the architect of the defense and his plan is having an DC with an aligned vision and understanding of the concepts.
