He’s not going to have the running threat of JD. Very few QB’s do. He does have the ability to be as mobile as JB though and with his arm talent can be a star in this system.

Unless you're running a gimmick or specialized scheme, most coaches can with with either a pocket or a dual-threat QB. LSU ran a passing offense, where the QB happened to be able to run. Very few designed runs, no options etc. A pocket guy with normal mobility would do well, he just wouldn't have RB numbers.

I feel confident that it's Nuss next year (and I'm one of the guys that was confident it was Daniels the past 2).
One of the reasons is that Kelly set up some leadership positions in the offseason to help guide the other players on the team; Daniels was one, so was Nabers. I think Wingo was one.
I remember distinctly that Nussmeier was also one. I think it says something that your young backup QB is given a leadership position- he was being groomed to take over the team upcoming.
This came out about the same time Walker Howard transferred, so it wouldn't surprise me if it became clear Nuss was the heir apparent, and that was why Howard left.
