Our talent vs Florida/ Alabama

especially with next years class...we will have as good as or better talent...all we need is COACHING.

yeah but we didn't have the talent we typically do this year, especially in the defensive backfield.

Who doe we have that matches Tebowe? Did any of their receivers drop a pass in this game? Harvin? Demps? James?

Please! Yes LSU did, but they no clue where to be or the coverage. The DBc and LBers were looking at the sidelines lost and waiting for a call at the snap all the time. IT IS COACHING OR LACK OF!!!

One thing you should learn and store in your memory. We will NEVER EVER EVER have MORE talent than FLORIDA. It just isnt gonna happen. We might have about as much or close to...but NEVER EVER EVER will we have MORE talent than FLORIDA. Please get that out of your brain.

your right harvin didnt drop any tonight. I think he dropped his bag of sunflower seeds on the sideline though.
But anyways does anyone think we are in the same position as florida is if we have tebow at qb?

Maybe in the "skill positions (backs, receivers, etc,) but other than that, yes we can. We have as much TALENT on both sides of the line.

I think Florida has more talent than Alabama but it was a good close game...Alabama was coached well and prepared well.

bullshite. if you think we have sec championship talent (alabama/florida this year or LSU last year) your either fricking stupid or nuts. yes the coaching was subpar but at what point is it put on the players(blown coverage and straight up talent)? none of the dbs are on the level of chevis jackson, steltz, and john zenon (yes not even PP). those players are sec championship talent..NOT what we have now. you can also use this concept for the linebackers this year vs last. don't kid yourself thinking we had the talent this year. Saban's low character recruits showed(RJF and taylor) and his 13 recruit class really messed us over on talent this year. yes a good defensive coordinator could have accomplished more with the mediocre defensive talent but that is another discussion.

not the topic of the thread but ok...the players this year are NOT performing (covering and basic tackling) at the same quality as previous lsu defenses or florida this year. if you can't see that, you are blind. the dbs this year couldn't cover the troy receivers when they did man up. this has nothing to do with coaching..its all about man to man who the frick is better than the other. lsu lost those individual battles by several steps.

Sure we can, but it requires top notch recruiting on our part at the same time that Miami and Florida State are revived and competing in FLA

For 2009 - We are better than or equal to Bama in every spot except LB and safety. But they have there one guy that gets burnt every game too. #24
