Do you have any raves or rants on specific vacuum sealers?

Meat Your Maker has a good sale on them. I was going to get an oil chamber sealer from them but they’re sold out. My next one will be a chamber sealer.

I have a Wevac CV12 dry piston chamber machine. It was "cheap" and has help up well for 1.5yrs now. I got it on an Amazon Lightning deal for $370. I use it once or twice a week. Its not light, but not so heavy that it cant be moved. I keep it hidden in a lower cabinet and easily take it in and out each use.

Foodsaver model 4840 is really good.
$170 on Amazon. That's 29% off.
Tip (regardless of the vacuum sealer you get):
When you are sealing something moist (meat, fish, chicken, most vegetables), put the food in a sealer bag and put it in the freezer for 30-45 minutes before sealing the bag. This will partially freeze the surface fluids and will keep the vacuum from pulling fluids into the sealer.

I have the Foodsaver Game saver or something to that effect. Has worked great for me. I buy meat on sale and vacuum pack without problems. Use knockoff brand vacuum bags from Amazon.

Ya, Im getting a chamber sealer when I it comes time to replace my cheap one.

Theyre just so much better for sealing liquids. We freeze soup, marinate meat, etc. and they just work that much better.

I also have a Westin pro. We’ve gone through several cheaper food saver type dealers that always crap out. This thing is a beast.

I’m on my second mid quality food saver. Bought at Sam’s fir 169. Not sure of model.

Had a similar one but it did not survive a drop from about 7 feet so replaced.

The new one seems to work better
