I'm just looking for thoughts and insights on these. I currently own a little PSEC stock and a few of their bonds. I've owned ARDC in the past and years ago I did well in Allied Cap stuff until Gladstone threw them into disarray. TIA for your thoughts on these in the current environment. I also own some Blue Owl bonds.

I also own some PSEC. Very high dividend at current prices… unfortunately most of my position was established at higher prices from a couple of years ago.

I have a much stronger conviction on ARCC, which I bought 6 or 7 years ago in the mid teens. It also has a high dividend, but one which I believe is sustainable… not as confident about PSEC’s. ARCC also has a MUCH lower P/E and a more stable portfolio. So, in short, wish I had more Ares and less Prospect. I’m keeping a close eye on PSEC to make sure that, with the current dividend payout, it’s not turning into a self-liquidating concern.

Ares is definitely the standard-bearer for the asset class - good liquidity. I haven't followed closely for a few years, but there's a good bit to be careful about with a lot of these names.
