House has been awful as a DC in all but 2 years. 1 came under a DC guru head coach who had better defenses once House left.
House is lazy and doesn’t want to put in the work required to be a college coach. It is why he left UK in the first place to be a position coach in the NFL.
Guy doesn’t have the coaching skill as a strategist to overcome his lack of effort in recruiting. Plain and simple.
It was a bad hire from the go. LSU’s defense was not good last year. It was mediocre but was covered by hitting on actual experiences talent in the portal that deserved to play in the SEC. Fully under House, you see undersized players, bad attitude players and under qualified players (FCS-level) being picked up.
In the end, the talent wasn’t enough to counter LSU further shifting to House’s “defense” which was quite offensive.
