I guess it depends on what else is going on in your toolbox. the magnetic strip is really strong. I can barely peel the thing off the bottom of my toolbox but my toolbox is stationary. They arent terribly expensive. Maybe try one out and see if it works? I cant speak for any off Amazon. Mine all came from Home Depot

I have something similar to the second one you linked. It’s a much older and metal, I believe it’s husky. They serve their purpose, but I wouldn’t recommend them. In fact, I’m pretty sure they don’t sell them anymore. Both of the ones you linked would seem to be superior to the ones I have.

I’ve bought two socket sets in carrying cases and they both suck as far as holding the sockets in place. Then the icing on the cake, I always need the size of socket that didn’t come in the set. Can’t remember if it’s even or odd sizes they start skipping but every time I need a socket I gotta go to Home Depot or auto zone.

I've got some from Snap-On. They are labeled and are twist-lock type with magnetic bases. You'd have to buy them from Snap-on or find a local truck and buy from him.
