Maybe slowly being lowered into boiling water then dipped into ice water and keep alternating?

Or covering your body in honey or something and then leaving you out in the sun for a while then letting an enormous amount of ants and other bugs crawl all over you eating you?

Or that thing they did in the Middle Ages where they put a basket over your stomach with a rat in there and it’s forced to eat it’s way through your stomach to get out?
