I heard some comments from a Tulane professor that works with us part time on the weekends. Some of his students play football. The players believe they are the best team in the state of Louisiana. I would welcome putting them back on the schedule soon.

Tulane has a pretty decent chance to be in a NY6 team. LSU won’t be in a NY6 game

Thinking about the old LSU Tulane rivalry, I thought Tulane stole a Goat from LSU? Not Mike The Tiger? I could have remembered wrong, but this seems far fetched that they stole a fricking Tiger at night on LSUs campus

First Choice- Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl
Second Choice- Tulane in the Gator.
Many of you on here weren't in existence when we had the rivalry with Tulane.
It was just as intense as any in the SEC.
Losing to those mf'er's 14-0 (73), 48-7 (81) and 31-28 (82) only made it worse.
Tulane proceeded to fall off the map for a long time and the series was ended because the LSU/TU AD's could not come to an agreement on tickets and gate split revenue. (Tulane wanted too much)
Now Willie Fritz has invigorated the program and they've been a Top 20 program for the last few years.
I'd like to play them in a Bowl if none of the "Delicate Genius's" at LSU University (aka University of LSU) want to get them on the schedule.
How about opening the season with the Slimers? (That used to be one of the things we called them) Slimers and the Slime. (As in Green Slime)
In any case, LSU needs to be playing them again......

It would be a literal no-win situation for LSU. If you win, you're supposed to win, and if you lose it would be devastating.

I was in Tiger Band in 1973 when we played in old Tulane Stadium. We were playing songs after the game in the stands when a mob of Tulane fans started throwing lemons and rocks at us. It got so ugly that we needed state police protection to get to our buses safely.

Absolutely, but would we play them in the Dome or Yulman and what would our cut be of the gate?

I would selfishly love to play at Yulman because I can walk there, but I doubt LSU would play at a stadium that small. it's nice, but only 30k seats.
