There’s so much gray in here that I don’t even know what you’re arguing. Let’s boil it down and you answer:
Under the premise that this girl is under the age of consent (underage), is Giddey:
a) breaking the law
B) not breaking the law
Next question. Under same premise, is Giddey engaging in:
A) pedophilia
B) not engaging in pedophilia

I mean there is an actual definition of pedophilia
It’s not sexual attraction to an underage child, its sexual attraction to a prepubescent child

There's no report that she is under the age of consent that I've seen. And OP actually never even mentions what she is under the age of, smoking age? drinking age? rental car age? driving age? age of candidacy?

It’s pretty simple. If she’s below the age of consent then he absolutely broke the law. If she’s beyond puberty then he is absolutely not engaging in pedophilia.
What is a completely different argument is whether or not something being against the law specifically makes it wrong and does this alleged incident not qualifying as pedophilia make it okay.
