Twitter Video

John is getting criticized for the price on Twitter. He response, “Sling, optics, optic mount, rail covers…. It all adds up.”

We all know we’d be paying for that WPS logo on the side.

It does have a Radian safety and CH, but the optic is a cheap Holosun red dot.

Sweet rifle. People always find something to complain about. The people complaining are no doubt not the target audience for this rifle.

As someone who sees a rifle as a tool, I wish someone would explain the draw of a $3k AR rifle.

What am I missing here? That rifle with the upgrades it has is easily over $3,000, and probably over $3,500.

Special editions like this aren't my jam, but this isn't exactly a ripoff.

I also don't get rifles like that or brands like Radian in general; it was a tool for too long to consider it anything else. Depending on the use I want a good barrel, BCG and trigger & optic, the rest is mainly fluff.

They don't offend me or anything, and I have plenty of things that are "nicer" than they need to be so I get why some folks got that route. But putting a Holosun on that is just weird and goes squarely against the whole boutique mindset.

Lol Lovell is a shill. For $3k you could get a complete BCM rifle ($1,500), an Aimpoint T2 on a Scalarworks mount ($879) and have a little under $700 to spend on mags and ammo. That gives you a better rifle and optic.

Knights is basically the only complete AR pushing $3k that actually justifies the price.

You're not missing anything. The upgrades in that gun are $$$$. Some people just love to complain.

Proprietary gas system and bolt carrier group, insane quality control, maintains value in resale market

So it's not mil-spec?

Ok, who is forcing you to buy a Knights gun?

He’s getting so much crap he had to put the parts list together for everyone.

My question had nothing to do with knights.

This seems real simple to me. If you don’t think it’s worth it then don’t buy it.

Yep it’s pretty simple. Don’t buy it if you don’t want to spend the money on it. I spent $2500 including optic on my last build. It’s not hard to do.

You replied “how” to the man after the man said Knights makes the only rifle he thinks is worth the extra money. Probably pretty easy for him to think you were asking him specifically about the KAC rifle.

I’m guessing you don’t see the draw in a custom bolt action rifle, a finely machined shotgun, or a custom 1911 either.

ETA: if you think a milspec anything is the cream of the crop, I pretty well have my answer.

Maybe if you want pretty, but with modern tech, production rifles are just as accurate as custom.

a finely machined shotgun

If you want pretty, sure. Benelli is still probably more reliable.

a custom 1911 either

Lots of pistols out there more reliable than any 1911
