I remember it. They used to show it on TV every year, always with the Tiger Fans getting the ride.

Didn't New Orleans have their own version of that at Norby's?

Norby's was an awesome neighbor bar that is now Patois. The most infamous 90s Uptown drug dealer/underage party thrower for private school kids was shot and killed there. That was pretty much the end of Norby's.

They did have a Tulane/LSU wheelbarrow race there. Tom Fitzmorris had a great article about the tradition and the bar.

We had LSU/Tulane day at our grade school in the outskirts of Nola. It was fun. Sad that Tulane let the program go to shat for so long.

I believe it was called the Norby's Tulane/LSU Club.
It was always the Tigers who were getting pushed in the wheelbarrow. Lott's of drunks and lots of fun.
