Saw guy interviewed on Fox. Says reason is so govt can turn them off if they want to. Ice cars provide too much freedom to the peasants. You dims sure this is what you want?

Well, then it must be true

It wouldn't surprise me at all if this were true but I guess I don't understand why they couldn't do this with ICE vehicles?

I think big money is pushing it, alot of investment in the industry, raw materials and the new infrastructure that will be needed. Along with the brain virus that drives the leftist climate insanity.

why couldnt they do the same with ICE vehicles? onstar has existed for a long time.

Ice cars
They can be stopped with just some warm weather, the ice will melt. Just kidding.
Ice vehicles with their many electrical components maybe disabled by an EMP, in theory. So, one well placed high altitude blast and we are back in the candlelight/horse and buggy days until new equipment and or parts are brought in to repair the infrastructure and power grid.

China pays American politicians to mandate EVs because China owns most of the World’s lithium and very little oil.
China is tired of watching the Middle East and America make huge profits on oil.

I think the simple answer is that the people in govt pushing EV's stand to make A LOT of money from them.

Anyone with half a brain can see we don't have anywhere near the infrastructure to support a switch to EVs like this. It will be decades before our inept government gets things in place to be able to support the kind of electrical needs that will be required for every ICE vehicle to be electric. Not to mention they are still far away from getting it right when it comes to trucks, look how poorly Ford and others have performed when it comes to towing anything of significant weight.

Yeah we know this is their wet dream. Been talked about for a long time, not some kind of breaking news from some dude on Fox in Nov of 2023.
Heck Musk was being pressured to do it to Teslas in Russia early on in the war.

Yes. UT is absolutely what they want

5+ years ago there was a dude busted at a dealership, I think it was in Orange, Tx.
He was remotely turning off vehicles so they had to come in for maintenance.

Lord have mercy, the conspiracy nuts do have fertile imaginations.
I’ll give them that.
