I really don’t understand why people think that a 12 team playoff will solve anything. It won’t. The NCAA basketball tournament includes 64 teams. And every year the team that thinks they were probably the number 65 teams kicks and screams they were cheated.

This is another topic entirely. Think it's less about solving things and more about creating more meaningful, fun games in December. Mid-December on campus playoff games will be awesome. But I do think it benefits team that have always seemed to be on the fringes of the playoff since 2014 (LSU, Penn St, Michigan, FSU)

There are tons of reasons to like the 12 team playoff.
1) More big time matchups to end the season.
2) In an era of neutral site games, we get more premier, on-campus matchups.
3) Your team has a better shot to get hot late and make a run rather than being out of it by October.
4) Regular season still matters because you’re playing for byes and home field advantage.
5) Less opportunity for the REC to hose us out of playoff contention.
6) Teams who improve throughout the year still have a fighting chance to make the playoffs.
7) More meaningful games in November.

Cheating #65 is more understandable than cheating #5.
With 12 teams, at least the top 10 is secure.
