Willie said he’s not sure how many more times he has to get up on the podium and say the same thing.

When asked how he feels about the 10 game slate so far, he said the team will know tomorrow.

Zion sounds pissed (and sick like he has a respiratory issue)

Basically called out the system saying he’s taking a back seat right now and he’s trusting the process and trying his best to buy in right now.

Also, I don’t know why but seems Ingram is ducking the media this year.

quote:

Zion in his postgame interview mentioned several times that he’s taking a back seat trying to buy into the offensive system. Yeah, he isn’t happy with his role at all.
quote:

Felt something was off last game when he mentioned how the offense is different this year and when asked how he said “last year the ball was in my hands more”.

This organization, coaches and gm are trying way too hard to make BI the leader, focal point of this team. He isn’t that guy and I blame lot of this on Griffin. Who’s obsession with BI is ruining this team. BIs flaws are glaring and to me hes no different than how Harden affects teams- he makes the offense worse.

Sounds like a coach who knows his players have tuned him out.

Easiest fix, although not the fairest, is to change the coach.

Why do they always get questions about offense. Why won't anyone call them out on their shitty defense that's really the reason why they're getting shite faced in the majority of their losses.

To be honest efficient offense leads to better defense. And in the end its really the inefficient offense thats leading to a majority of these other issues.

Offense is what sells.

Also for star players their defense is driven by their offense, if they’re not being fed the ball or being a focal point of the offense then they won’t try as hard defensively. It’s an age old tale

I mean perfect example of that are the Mavericks. They’re not a defensive juggernaut but offensively they’re hitting on all cylinders which is fueling their defense.

They are trying to “build a program” .

BI works his take off , gets along with the guys , and has performed well in games that matter at the eve of the season .

On the other end is a guy that has been lazy , injured ,and frequently separates himself from his team mates ?

Right or wrong I can see why they would takd BI’s side if that is in fact the case .

The offense this year is about ball and player movement . More equal opportunity meant to prevent the your turn my turn from the stars . That obviously hadn’t happened much to date.

To build something usually involves growth.

We've been turning our wheels and going nowhere for the last 3 years.

I hear you but we've done that twice(meaning 3 total coaches) and none have gotten through Zion/BI with regards to effort, so I'm not for this because I have no reason to believe the 4th coach will have success either.

You lose the ability to play the "I work my arse off" card if you only work your arse off in practice because BI surely is not a dude who works his arse off in games, just like Zion.

And yet they’re trying to make the biggest ball stopper in the league the focal point of the offense.

Makes zero sense

Oh I don't think it matters either. Just saying that's the most likely plan of action because you can fire coaches, can't really fire players. And if the players have tuned out the coach, there's really no returning from that.

Also, I hope they don't fire Willie midseason because it gives Barrego a chance to Ed Orgeron his way into being our head coach next season after finishing out this season as the interim... and I want no part of that.

I dont give a shite about any of that. Honestly thats a bunch of baloney. Give me wins- you know what I care more about working hard or getting along eith guys?? Its WINS! When this offense went through Zion, with no BI and hurt CJ- we were one of the best teams in the league. This offense goes through BI- its been told to us in several occasions- and this BI offense is one of the worst in the league. Love or hate Zion, this team to win games is better suited to go through him. SVG was right and he was fired probably because BI hated his arse.

I have a feeling Ty Lue is out as Clippers coach after this season and that’s who they bring in next year.

And Ty Lue just called Harden out if shape. He won’t hold back- thats what this team needs.

Yea but ain't no way penny pinching Gayle would pay the salary he'd command to come here.

Griff tried to hire him before. Surely he knew the ballpark price before doing that.

So they can do it to the next guy? How many coaches do these guys get?
