Following as I am looking at the same transducer for my boat in the spring. Trying to get something to hold bottom while running and see down to at least 1500 ft as we plan to start do some deep dropping next year. You mentioned the hull truth so I'll post a link to Semperfifishing who is a sponsor on there. He will answer any and all questions to help you choose the transducer that will suit your needs best.

So my Garmin is not able to use the M265 as apparently it runs both frequencies together, I thought you could choose which one. So I’ll have to go with a B175m it looks like.
