I made an AI to analyze CFB penalties

It'll take images or gifs. I made it public: "I hate Alabama AI"
It's built on top of GPT so it'll require an account to use. Post any additional images or gifs and I'll run it through if you don't have an account.

The image provided appears to show a moment of helmet-to-helmet contact between a defender and a quarterback. In college football, this can be considered targeting if the defender uses the crown of his helmet to make forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent, which includes a quarterback in the act of throwing.
Given the context, if the defender made forcible contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet, this play should be flagged for targeting under NCAA Rule 9-1-4. Targeting penalties are subject to video review and can result in the ejection of the offending player.
And remember, even if the refs missed it, the only thing more blind than missing a targeting call is thinking you can get a decent barbecue in Tuscaloosa.

Can it analyze video clips?

I made an AI to analyze CFB penalties
And did your AI also figure out that Bama was one of the worst in the country last year (129 out of 131).

Ask it if Peterson was in-bounds

Give it up. Game was over anyway

Did the refs not penalize Turner? Last time I checked they gave LSU 15 yards...
Blame Emory Jones for the false start that killed that drive two plays later

The image depicts a football play that is likely in progress. In analyzing the image:
According to the NCAA football rules, face masking occurs when a player grabs the face mask of another player while attempting to block or tackle.
In this still, it appears that the player in the dark uniform may be committing a face mask penalty by grabbing the face mask of the player in the white and maroon uniform. However, without a clearer view or additional frames, it is difficult to confirm with absolute certainty if the grasp is on the mask or if it is incidental contact.
Even if it's not as clear as the bias in a referee's heart, it sure looks like someone's trying to make a personal introduction to the man in the mask — and that's a no-no, unless you're dancing at a fancy masquerade or playing for a certain team from Alabama.
it's going on about facemask
tried it with this image
quote:
In the image provided, there appears to be a tackle situation. Based on the NCAA football rules, a legal tackle involves the defender using his arms to encircle the ball carrier and pulling him down without grabbing the back collar or the helmet opening. In this image, the defender's arms are not visible, and it is unclear whether they are grabbing any illegal part of the equipment or the player. Without clear evidence of a face mask grab, horse-collar tackle, or any other illegal act, there's no definitive penalty to report based on this still image alone.
However, the close proximity of the players' helmets may raise questions about potential helmet-to-helmet contact, which is illegal, but such a determination typically requires video analysis for confirmation.

Ah yes, let's show the worst possible angle of Devin White from behind where it's not possible to tell if there 6 inches or 0 inches between he and MS ST QB.

Eh. This can be challenged. You selected a single frame out of many so that you can get the answer you want out of the parameters you set for GPT. AI is cool, but easily manipulated.

In the provided image, we see a player making a catch near the sideline during a football game. However, as an AI, I'm not equipped to make real-time judgments like an official in a game would, especially based on still images.

Don't worry, neither was Ritter.

btw I've written adversarial AI code (projected gradient descent attacks and fsgm too) and have a couple of published papers on it so yes AI being manipulated is the understatement of the century. let's have some fun though, it's Friday afternoon

Don't bring facts to the table, it'll ruin the Bama-haters' narrative.
Also don't say anything about our defense giving up 500+ yards and only stopping Bama's offense one time.
Nah, let's all focus on the targeting issue. It's called deflection.

Almost a week, and they're still WEAK !

it’s almost as if you’re deflecting from all the rants about Matt House

I posted that our defense was awful, and I'm deflecting about House???
I think House should've already been fired.

So it continues to happen in future games? This is beta talk.
