Russian and Cuban elections run extremely smoothly lol.
Well considering this is how you vote:
in a Communist state, then is no wonder why the results are a so lob sided.

To be fair in the last 8 years KY governor races have had horrible polls. 2015 showed Bevin losing, he won. 2019 showed Beshear winning by 8-10 he win by 0.4. 2023 has shown Beshear winning again by 8-10. He will win by 2ish probably.
Well they notoriously under-poll Republicans everywhere

Early Ohio Ballot issue results:
Issue 1 - Abortion
65% Yes
35% No
Issue 2 - Recreational Marijuana
58% Yes
42% No
If I had to guess, I'd say 1 passes and 2 fails.

I didn't know KY was so racist.

They’ll likely both pass

There really isn't any compelling reason to vote Republican this election cycle because they do not have any compelling message. A few have a compelling message but the truth of the matter is those who have a message are stifled out of the media/internet search engines, so their messages isn't seen.
Couple with a number of GOPe candidates who allow these stupid Abortion issues to screw them over time and time again. Almost like bringing up these issues is on purpose to help the GOP lose elections.

NYT predicts Issue 1 to pass at +14 and Issue 2 at +12. Don’t think it’ll be that big but they’ll both likely pass. Issue 1 can be called at this point.

It will be interesting hearing Ronna McDaniel spinning another disappointing night for the GOP.

I am really confused at how the Republican candidate for Governor's numbers and that of the AG and SOS. Something just seems off.

Marijuana no
Does more than just legalize recreational marijuana. Some people are voting no for the rest of it, I.e. creating a “cannabis social equity and jobs program”.

No different than when Louisiana elected to Republican senators but a Dem governor

It's Kentucky politics, it's just how it works there. My dad's side of my family all live up there and my sister and brother in law live up there.
My brother in law will vote straight Republican except for Governor. He's one of the ones tonight who voted for the Republican Secretary of State and the Republican Attorney General but then crossed and voted for Beshear for Governor. His dad did the same thing tonight. My brother in law has never voted for a Republican Governor and yet outside of Trump in 2020 has always voted for a Republican for Presiodent. It's crazy.

One of the factors being shared on Twitter
Don't know that this accounts for voting red for other offices except Gov though

When the story of KY-Gov is written, the importance of fundraising can't be stressed enough. Beshear had a wire-to-wire financial advantage over Cameron, and outspent him in every single media market across the state.
Team Blue spent $48 million on ads vs Team Red's $29 million.

Wow, Cameron got his arse kicked. He badly underperformed the other GOP candidates.

He was running against a popular incumbent. Probably not a winnable race tbh

2 already sliding down to 56-44

He should have waited until 2027 and run for the open seat.

14 frickin amendments. And I thought Louisiana was bad.
There really should be an IQ test, and a real tax paying property owner requirement.
