In the three days of no-excuse, in-person voting that happened ahead of Tuesday, 260,324 people cast a ballot, according to the secretary of state’s office.

Of those, 133,169 ballots, or 51.2%, were Democrats versus 112,398, or 43.2%, who were Republicans.Things got better for Beshear’s party when other forms of early voting, such as mail-in ballots and excused in-person voting, were included.

Democrats added roughly 28,000 votes in that regard where the GOP added about 18,000 more to their tally, according to the secretary of state’s office.

I don't think that small of an early voter party advantage is great for Beshear. LINK /

That’s bad news for Beshear if that’s all it is.

The Jefferson Circuit Court ordered extended polling hours at two locations: Blue Lick Elementary School and Highland Baptist Church, representing precincts 141, 145, L170, L171, L203 and L219.

A police pursuit at the school and a potential gas leak at the church made the polling locations “inaccessible to voters for the statutorily mandated 12 hour window,” the court found.

The order keeps the locations open for voters until 6:30 p.m. and all voters in line at those locations by the time polls close will be allowed to vote under the change.

Fayette is ~9% and Louisville is ~ 8%. That seems good for Cameron.

I concur with that assessment. Apathy in Lexington and Louisville would sink Beshear.

I posted this is another thread but turnout in my county which will go for Cameron is only about 30% so far. Hope other counties are better.

Where are you seeing that? I've been looking for turnout numbers throughout the day and really haven't been able to find anything other than the early voting stuff.

My buddy is a poll worker and he’s been giving me updates of what they’re hearing.

Doubtful. He's going to go all Feinstein and die while in office.

This behavior and attitude among career politicians puzzles me. Mitch doesn't need the money and his cognitive function is clearly impaired. Why not ride off into the sunset and enjoy a couple of years before you cash-in?

I will say that Kelly Craft thinks that spot is her rightful inheritance. She's dumb as a box of hammers.

That's not good. Hopefully he is missing some information.

How does Kentucky vote Republican by 30 points for President but love their Democrat governors. I get it 40 years ago but there’s no distinction between the local and national Democrat party in 2023. They all take their orders from the top. If people didn’t get that after China Virus they’ll never get it.

Kentucky having a Republican governor is exceptionally rare.

I don't know. The legislature is a supermajority for Republicans. Virtually every county is run by Republicans as are almost all statewide officials but they love Democrat governors.

I am hoping these results coming in now are just the early vote but Cameron is currently running about 1000 votes (15%) to the other statewide republicans.

Phew, Dave Wasserman just pulled me from the ledge.

Dave Wasserman
@Redistrict
Beware a blue mirage in #KYGOV as the earliest results in these rural red counties are going to be the most favorable for Beshear (D), those margins will improve for Cameron (R) as EDay vote comes in.

Wasserman is a bitch so if he’s trying to ease people into Cameron having a shot it means he’s worried. Wasserman lives to jizz while he says I’VE SEEN ENOUGH and calls a Dem win.

He's absolutely a liberal but he is a fantastic prognosticator. He called Youngkin's win fairly early - or at least sounded the warning bells early.
