I thought I was at Monster Jam. The Bear is rolling in the grave on Saturday nights.

The piped music sucked and their band isn't very good, but the stadium was cool and their fans around us were nice enough. Unlike us, their fans stay til the end.

Their tailgating scene is awful. It's all corporate, almost nobody cooking anything.
As for the in-game experience in comparison to TS... TS is way louder. It got loud inside BDS, but Tiger Stadium creates that ear ringing noise that I really have only gotten at Jordan-Hare and TS. However , they do an awesome job creating a cool atmosphere. The lights, the music, the screens, all 100x better than what LSU has. The commercial breaks weren't terrible, they don't feel the need to honor every former athlete that came through, like LSU does. The lights and the music make it feel like a smooth transition of energy back to the game.. It's tough because on one hand, the energy in Tiger Stadium is all organic. It's not manufactured like it is at Bama, and I would love to keep that. At the same time though, it undoubtedly creates a better atmosphere. We could do everything they do, and just make it better with our raw energy.

Awesome experience! The light show and dj has brought much excitement and the piped in music was great also! Hope LSU officials noticed the changes they’ve made and might do something in zbston Rouge! Fun time
I hated that place. I couldn't tell if I was a a football game last night or a circus.

Light show was cool. Not sure why we can’t do something like that. Got really loud when they did dixieland delight. Outside of that, wasn’t all that loud. Not really a fan of the piped in music. Rather hear the band play. Seats much more spacious than Tiger Stadium.
Sorority houses that are literally steps away from the stadium are incredible

That’s like comparing Wrigley to Globe Life.

You don't think that LSU fans would've stayed until the end to witness a Bama beatdown in Tiger Stadium?

I found the light show extremely gay. A football game turned into a Cher concert. The guy on the microphone during commercials was idiotic. Not loud. Pom Poms are silly. One good thing: very cool fans. Have been there several times and never had a problem with Tide fans.

Nowhere near as loud as I expected, not as electric as Death Valley. I felt the same way after going to Kyle Field last year. We as LSU fans are lucky to have the best stadium and atmosphere

It was first class, stadium was nice and so was the in game experience light show and piped in music etc. But can we talk about the traffic!? I literally walked to my car and was off campus in a matter of minutes.

The vocal intensity of the Bama crowd when LSU was on offense was enviable…volume up well before the snap on EVERY DOWN for the entire game.
Only comparables I can come up at Tiger Stadium were LSU-Bama 2012, 2014, and 2022, and as far as really loud EVERY down only 2022 tbh.
And with all those pom pons shaking and the noise it was a hell of an advantage.
The Bama crowd was totally quieted after that beautiful Daniels touchdown pass to start the scoring but they came right back and scored and got the crowd back into the game, where it stayed.
The 2023 crowd was much much more involved than the 2021 snoozer at BDS. Night and day difference.
That was impressive. As was getting into BDS and the ease in departing for Birmingham after the game.
Great experience.
I can do without the “Lights Up” crowd interaction but I’m not fighting it. Biggest bummer is long TV timeouts.

The general consensus here is correct. The crowd isn’t nearly as loud as the crowd in Tiger Stadium. LSU was playing on offense with minimal crowd noise in the second quarter and early 3rd when the game was still on the line. The overall niceness of the stadium, sound and lights is great if you want that and not if you don’t. I think most people would find it pretty cool. Can have that debate with the different generations later. I’m only 32 and my football memory begins with Kevin Faulk but I still prefer the old school coliseum feel of Death Valley and wish we had more band and less piped in music but do think there is room for improvement in Death Valley in those regards. BDS concessions were out of most food except hot dogs at the end of the 1st quarter with long lines to get them. The campus is pretty nice. Traffic leaving the game was terrible, I did ok getting off campus over the course of an hour and a half while my father in law sat in a parking lot for an hour and half before even starting to move.
I live around here. The fan base is extremely entitled. After one loss and a rough showing against USF I heard people asking whether they should even go to the Ole Miss game. A lot of front runners mixed in with the die hards. Hoping I get to see them in a post Saban world soon.
Big picture, the experience and atmosphere watching Taylor stretch across the pylon last year in Tiger Stadium from beginning to end kills whatever advantage BDS has in lights and sound in my opinion and it’s not like they really have their overall game day experience at a different level from what I could see (and I despise Aramark and the current parking and traffic situation at LSU).

I guess I had a very different experience and perspective than you! Happy you got out of there easily.

Saban ripped their asses for leaving early before the Tennessee game. It worked, We got spoiled. We have a heisman trophy QB and it's empty before 3rd quarter. It's only 6 games a year but hey...

Best away game I’ve been to. Fans were ok, tailgate was ok, stadium was cool. TS is much louder from fans. Theirs is louder from artificial noise.

I didn’t like how they dimmed the lights and had piped in music playing while we were coming back from tv timeouts, but the stadium is nice and it was a great experience.

My first time there and it was a sight. Of course the arrogance of their fan base was obvious, but it is well deserved. They know how to create a very organized and intimidating atmosphere. I was close to our band, but of course they were drowned out by the piped music on cue. Had all variations of fans around me. Most were very nice but a few cursed and flipped off our team and band throughout the game. I gave my share of the same while we were up, and especially when they took out Daniels.
The worst were the students, especially after the game, but that's expected from immaturity.
If we had a competent coaching staff we would've won the game and it would have been completely different post game. Oh well . . . the hot women were off the chart.

I enjoyed my TTown experience. I thought the tailgating was less than LSU's experience. The fans were very nice to me. I enjoyed the stadium. Concessions were outstanding and fast. The traffic situation postgame was insanely good. I am so used to awful that it felt like I was leaving a HS game. I thought the crowd atmosphere was very generic...it didn't have a big game feel as I feel in Tiger Stadium.
