Did I say that they were my biggest concern on this team?
No.
The defensive issues though are in house (no pun intended) issues.
Nationwide there has been a movement in the name of player safety and head injuries. Then a textbook situation which was a late hit occurs and takes out our star and we don’t even get the small amount of retribution as allowed by the rules (ejection)?
That’s deserves public condemnation

What you say is 100% true.
The other one that was concerning was the lack of penalty on Burns for his helmet to helmet hit on Milroe.
Player safety? Sounds good, but the SEC’s practice of player safety is deplorable.
I encourage everyone to (respectfully) contact the SEC head of officiating and head of football officiating, as well as King Sankey, and voice the concerns. Watching SEC football yesterday, it was pathetic to watch the officials flounder and fail to enforce the most obvious of rules infractions.
