I know it’s kind of old news, but I just binged “For All Mankind” on Apple (highly recommend) and that show kind of struck me as kind of a realistic progression to the “spaceships” we see in all the space movies.

**SPOILER**
When the small arm weapons are brought into space and perpetuated the escalation of arming a space shuttle in space made me think “wow, this makes sense how the “Star Wars” could come to be..”

Basically a slow progression competing etc and next thing you know in two generations we’re at warp drive.

Enlist in Space Force now if you want to be remembered among the first.

I mean, if you think about it, like seriously, could this actually be how all of that shite actually starts? I mean, it’s gotta start somewhere, no? And you don’t actually have to be a part of it for it to be real and happening. The Wright brothers neighbors didn’t help at all but their future offspring would surely have benefited.

The uniform looks like something L. Ron Hubbard would have dreamed up.

Space Force's current mission is more about tracking objects in space, both near Earth and more distant. Some of the tech to do that is in space, some is on Earth. The people are on Earth (mostly... some of the Space Shuttle and ISS projects have been involved in the Space Force's mission).

Action in space would more likely involve some future space marines and space navy, neither of which are currently things. Although many of the non-strictly-scientist NASA astronauts have traditionally been former Navy, so the argument could be made that the space navy has existed de facto for some time.

A good friend's son just graduated basic training in Space Force and is going somewhere in Texas for training.

We went to the party but I still don't have any idea what it is.

I don’t know if a gunpowder weapon would work in a vacuum. If it did, it would have to use the oxygen in the cartridge.

And the effect on the person firing it might be hilarious.

The direct energy weapons with phasers set to stun would probably have Vulcans scratching their A holes with their ear lobes.

I mean, they have to walk to the launch pad don't they? Also for the return to Earth after the mission.

I’m going to be a PJ in the space force - jump out of spaceships to rescue stranded astronauts. Going to be lit.

It would be nice if wars between politicians could be fought beyond earth so normal, everyday civilians of any country aren’t involved or harmed.

Next step to what? Deep space exploration? Thats a job for Tobor the Great or V’ger.

Unless we develop some kind of FTL propulsion humans will extinct before get beyond Mars.

I'm ready for the Moon Wars. As soon as minerals are discovered on other planets the Space Force will be needed to secure future America contracts.
