This seems illogical. You're saying both these players were really close to steeples, but Kelly has already decided to fire him even though our defense has improved over the season, we still have something to play for, and both these high rated recruits are close to steeples?

Then Kelly went and told recruits about a future firing of a coach they are both close with? Why would Kelly do that? What's the benefit to doing that?

Why not wait until you have a better coach lined up to replace steeples before notifying recruits if that's true? Also, why would you tell a current coach he is going to be fired mid season when you still have a shot at SEC West champs again?

Yea that doesn’t make sense. If he was recruiting well but they wanted to go a different direction they’d do it after signing day

They wouldn’t let be known if it’s costing you recruits
