signs get changed at halftime in some d2 ballgames for cryin out loud. a LOT of teams go to different signals after half every week. michigan should be disciplined in some manner for breaking the rules, but the rules they broke aren't that big of a deal. it's not an issue at all to change signals one week before a game. it's common practice.

How they went about breaking them is probably the bigger issue.

Getting paid in tattoos or signing an autograph is not nearly as bad as actively trying to cheat. Everyone may do each, and all of them are against the rules at the time, but signing your name on memorabilia isnt close to videotaping another teams signals, paying off coaches, etc.

Sigh.

What is it about what they actually did that's confusing so many of you.

This isn't "oh, we planned for our opponent to watch for patterns in the first half, so we went to a pre-planned alternate in the second half."

These comparisons are idiotic.

Then why even try to steal the signs at all?
