felt the sports Gods owed me 2019, a better version of that because of Burrow and the Heisman. It gave me closure for 2011. So in retrospect no I wouldn’t trade it.

Overall I’m with you but I think an interesting argument is which was the more dominant team prior to the NC game.

2011 just absolutely destroyed teams. Every single week. The closest regular season game besides bama was msu at 19-6.

2019 has (relatively) close calls with Texas-7 auburn-3 and bama-6. In real time those didn’t feel THAT close but nonetheless

Both had generational units 11-D 19-O lead by a transcendent player in Mathieu and Burrow, but I think 19 was a more complete team. I feel like the 19 defense was a better defense than the 11 offense was an offense. A lot of the blow outs in 11 were boosted by defense and special teams TDs. It’s hard to count on those in the long run. We blew UGA out in the SECCG despite having on 13 1st downs and less than 250 yds.

The 19 defense had some struggles but no one ever had the ball with a chance to take the lead on us in the 4Q. OM was annoying but mostly garbage time stats for OM. Texas did get hairy. Bama the score and stats are skewed a little with the 85 yard last TD.

Ultimately though i don’t think I’ve ever seen a more dominant game than the 2019 Peach Bowl.
