Recently had covid and lost all smell and most taste. How long did it take for them to come back to those of you who experienced it?

This last round was a doozy, much worse than when I had covid 18 months ago

Mine came back pretty quick but I've seen some people that haven't gain it back fully after 3 years.

first time I had the rona was Oct 2020.

I still cannot smell.

and taste- I can tell if something is sweet, spicy, savory and whatnot but cannot identify the specific flavor of whatever I'm eating.

I honestly don't know whether I've had COVID or not. I have been sick once or twice since it hit, but I've never tested for it while sick, and every test that I've taken has been negative.

I have not noticed any discernable loss of smell or taste.

The first time I had covid (June 2020) it took a few months for it to come back fully but the other two times I had it, I really didn't lose my taste or smell. At least no more than when I have a cold due to a stuffy nose.

I've had COVID four times, but I lost the sense of smell and taste only that first time that I had it. It took about three or four months for it to come back. Some things still do not taste the same as before, however, such as soda and chocolate. Neither taste good to me anymore. I guess that could be a good thing if you're a fatty.

Had Covid in December 2020. Smell returned after I was prescribed Poly Hist Forte, so about 4-5 days after testing positve, maybe 10 days after first symptoms came on. As for taste, there are still certain drinks that I can't stomach, 3 years later. Coke and Dr. Pepper tastes like chlorine to me.

I didn’t lose mine but my wife did. Hers came back a year and a half later after having covid again. Go figure!

I only had it once but my taste and smell came back after three days. This was during Easter 2023 and still today some things taste extremely salty to me.

It took 3-4 weeks to start getting it back slowly.

For a while things smelled and tasted really weird. I remember specifically that any sort of meat getting cooked down in a skillet smelled like gunpowder and chemicals. that went on for a while, but I'd say its all 100% back to normal now.

It took a few months but three years later still have some things that don't smell the same.

The cologne I used before covid now smell horrible to my nose. Had to find a new one.

Obviously reading the posts it's different for everyone.
