Also, why lunch in the FQ where there are infinitely better options all around the city?

I am headed to Natchez and all ears on lunch suggestions. Have time to kill. I am in New Jersey and person I meeting is in Texas so trying to get lunch we can't get at home.

Was going to do Middendorfs but this week events I don't know

Just drive straight to Natchez and get a late lunch at fat mamas tamales.

Hwy 51 (the low road) is still open and allegedly traffic isn't TOO bad. You'll have to take it from Ruddock to the Ponchatoula exit. I don't think the interstate will be open by Friday, but I guess that depends on how the inspections go.

ETA: You might consider the new(ish) location of Middendorfs in Slidell or taking the Causeway (free northbound!) to Morton's Seafood in Madisonville.

Why are you even going into the city if you're flying into MSY and your buddy is coming in from Texas and yall are going to Natchez?

Natchez is the other way....stop somewhere between the airport and Baton Rough or even in St Francisville.
