Isn’t it pretty mountainous to the west of town? From the pictures it almost looks like something you’d see on the Mediterranean with the city built on hills and cliffs.

My hope is that the elevation alleviates the storm surge concerns we have on the gulf coast in the US.

My concern is that the wind and rain smashing into those mountains cause flash floods and landslides.

The whole area is pretty mountainous surrounding the city. Land and mudslides will definitely be the issue I’d think. That, and when I was there I literally saw houses made of mud and cardboard. It’s not going to be good at all.
