I believe this is some variety of spurge but I am not sure.

that’s what I thought but spurge is a little bit softer and the roots on this are really bristly

In my lawn, the lespedeza tends to mat and stay low growing. The Spurge tends to pop up a bit more and not clump as much.

Will watering my yard more help with that crap? It appears during the summer when we got zero rain for a month my grass died and that stuff settled in
