House Republicans voted via secret ballot Friday afternoon to remove Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, as their speaker nominee, Fox News Digital has confirmed.
House Republicans huddled behind closed doors to figure out a path forward after Jordan lost even more support for his House speaker bid in a third-round House vote earlier Friday.

"We had hoped, and I had worked with Congressman Jordan, to try to unify the conference. We are not unified. Opposition is entrenched. There is a level of anger and violence, threats of violence that are unacceptable. The best approach is to go back into our room and try to coalesce around a conservative candidate who can lead not only our conference, but Congress.," Molinaro said.
quote:
Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, who has been voting for Jordan, told reporters after the vote that he intends to vote for former President Donald Trump to be speaker in the next round — if one happens.
"We got the number two most popular Republican in our country, and we don't want him — we, meaning collectively, us as a conference," Nehls said. "So my fourth vote now, this is three, my fourth vote is for Donald J. Trump. I'm moving to Donald J. Trump."

Wow.
CNN has to be begging the Dems to support DJT as SoH just for the ratings that would ensue.

I’m thinkin’ Jordan, Scalise, and McCarthy suddenly won’t look so threatening to Hakeem Jeffries and his ilk with the alternative candidate beginning to emerge ….

They would lock Kamala in a safe room till the end of the year if all that prevented a President Trump was her and Joe's continued heartbeats after all this proposed violence TO REPUBLICANS in this Speaker vote.

If Jordan didn’t have the votes, you think Trump will?

anyone not voting for trump wont get enough votes to even register in the next election
they can be traitors and be crooked rinos all they want, but if they stand against trump, they can no longer even claim to be republicans and america wont vote for them.

Here are a few reps who openly state they won't vote for Trump in the Republican primary -
Chip Roy
Thomas Massie
Ralph Norman
Steve Womack
Bob Good
Laurel Lee
Etc...
I could keep going.

Absolutely shitting the bed... Say what you will about the Dems, but they quickly get in line to frick the otherside and not themselves.
The Repubs just frick themselves.

If they were unified against Jordan, they will burn the capital to prevent Trump.

It's almost as if this should've been done a few weeks ago...
