The Division Being Weak Does Not Help

I know we all are ready to blow things up finally and start over, which we should have already done. We can’t though because we’ll be in the hunt all year due to to weakness of the NFC South. You can’t blow things up when you are still in striking distance. That’s the reality.

this is the mindset that has us in this position. There is absolutely no foresight from our front office. All of our moves have been how can we salvage the 2017-2020 success, instead of moving on and building for the future.

The goal is to win a Super Bowl. We have won the division a million times and that has gotten us nowhere. This team under the current structure is obviously never going to win anything of significance so why continue as is?

Because FO and Ownership knows that 8 to 9 win seasons will still make money.

I would definitely rock a 2023 NFC South Champions shirt

I am so tired of this stupid take. It is literally impossible for the Saints to blow it up and start over. The salary cap and the way the saints structured contracts will not allow this. We could literally cut or trade every single player on the team right now or at the end of the year and we would be over the cap.
But all the ranter fans who know nothing about the NFL continually spew this.

You can’t blow it up in one year or even two. It’s a 3-4 year process during which you get the salary cap in order and stockpile draft picks.
If you started this off-season by the 2026 season you’d have three years of high draft picks and be in a position to be a real player in FA

No one said it blows up in a year. It will take years to correct, but it should have started 2 years ago

What gets me, if Bucs or falcons make the playoffs, they probably will go on a run and play the better teams, 49ers or Eagles, at a time when they are nursing injuries. Like Tampa did a few years ago.
If Saints got in, they face a team at the Dome and get blown out in the first round wild card.
